Missouri Early Intervention Requirements for Practice

Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology

Education

Master's degree

Certification/Licensure

State licensure is issued by Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts, Advisory Commission for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.

Training

Speech-Language Pathologists must complete First Steps Module Training 1–4.

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Education

Bachelor’s degree

Certification/Licensure

State licensure is issued by Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts, Advisory Commission for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.

Training

Complete First Steps Module Training 1, 3, and 4.

Supervision

Requires direction of an enrolled First Steps Speech Language Pathologist.
