Programs due to submit an accreditation application on February 1, 2009 for review by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) will be the first to submit an application exclusively through the online format in the Higher Education Data System (HES). The HES will be open November 17, 2008, through February 1, 2009, for these programs to complete their applications.
The CAA Annual Report will launch Spring 2009. Watch for update notices coming soon!

Educational Opportunities
- During the 2008 ASHA Convention in Chicago, CAA will be conducting a lunch time session on reporting expectations through the HES and will be available in the ASHA Member Services Center in the Exhibit Hall for consultation.
- Programs will receive an invitation to participate in a 90-minute webinar information session about the HES Fall 2008 and Spring 2009.
- A PowerPoint "how to" presentation [PPT, 2.6MB] including actual screen shots provides guidance to programs on the CAA Report interface in the HES.
Announcements
New Annual Report Submission and Due Dates!
- Effective May 2009, CAA Annual reports must be submitted using the HES.
- Submission dates have been changed and are based on the anniversary date of the program's accreditation cycle.
- February 1: Anniversary dates November–April
- August 1: Anniversary dates May–October
