Julie B. Noel, MS, CCC-SLP, is a former member of the ASHA Speech-Language Pathology Advisory Council and Legislative Council. She previously served as speaker of the ASHA Legislative Council (2006–2007) and in a variety of other ASHA Legislative Council-related leadership positions, including SLP/SLS Assembly Coordinator (2004–2005) and Co-Floor Manager of the Legislative Council (2003). Ms. Noel also served as a member of the ASHA Strategic Leadership Team and Audit Committee, and she is a former member and vice-chair of the ASHA Financial Planning Board.
Ms. Noel is in private practice in Dallas, Texas, at the Burtis & Noel Speech-Language Center, Inc. She received her BS in speech-language pathology and audiology and MS in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas. Ms. Noel maintains a Texas license in speech-language pathology and holds a lifetime Texas Teacher Certificate in Provisional Speech and Language Therapy and Early Childhood Education.
