Governance Vision

A governance structure and process that is responsive to ASHA member wants, needs, and trends; serves members and the professions efficiently and effectively; meets current and future governance challenges; and, is satisfying to those members who are involved in ASHA governance activities.

The Board of Directors is the single governing body of the Association. The Board actively promotes the objectives of the Association in accordance with the Bylaws.

Committees, Boards & Councils

The Board of Directors may establish and dissolve standing committees, boards, councils, ad hoc committees, working groups, and other entities necessary to conduct the Association's business, and designate and change their charges and determine their size, member qualifications, and terms (Article IV of the ASHA Bylaws).
