ASHA's Government Relations and Public Policy (GRPP) Board wants to know what's important to you! Help the Board develop ASHA's 2015 Public Policy Agenda by taking an online survey: it should take less than 5 minutes of your time to rate 11 issues. The survey closes on May 19, 2014.
With the help of members' grassroots efforts, ASHA has achieved advancements in federal and state legislation and regulations on issues members consider most important, including
- extension of the Medicare therapy cap exceptions for 2014,
- promotion of a building code amendment that pertains to access for persons with disabilities (specifically, classroom acoustics in new construction),
- introduction of legislation for comprehensive Medicare coverage for audiology services, and
- introduction of legislation for IDEA funding.
For your reference, the 2014 Public Policy Agenda is posted on ASHA's website.
