2014 Coding and Documentation Update for SLPs (On Demand Webinar)
The coding and reimbursement landscape for healthcare is undergoing major changes. This program will cover the latest coding and reimbursement updates so that you receive equitable reimbursement by third party payers for the services you provide. We will present the new speech-language pathology (SLP) Current Procedural Terminology (CPT codes) for 2014, changes to the 2014 Medicare Physician Fee Scale as they relate to speech-language pathology, and an introduction to the International Classification of Diseases and Disorders, 10th Edition (ICD-10). We will explain the new SLP evaluation procedure codes and discuss their appropriate use. We will clarify coding and documentation rules as they apply to functional claims reporting and provide assistance for writing appropriate functional goals.
You will be able to:
- Apply accurate diagnostic and procedure codes to bills
- Document evaluations and treatment sessions to support the coding
- Explain how changes in healthcare landscape require changes in how services are provided
- Change impairment-based goals to functional, patient-centered goals
