This web workshop presents five lessons from leading experts in RTI, focusing on the basics of RTI, caseload/workload issues, disproportionality of culturally and linguistically diverse children in special education, the use of RTI for learning disability (LD) identification, a communication framework for IEP teams using RTI, and the use of RTI by SLPs at the secondary level. Practical advice, case studies, and observations by leading practitioners in RTI are provided to enhance your learning.

- use an RTI approach to determine LD eligibility
- define a problem-solving process for RTI decision-making and communicate effectively for RTI prevention, intervention, and identification
- discuss ways SLPs can make unique contributions to student success at the secondary level
