Technology is changing the audiology clinic and our patients. With the easy-to-use tablets and mobile devices, we’re no longer constrained by hard-wired technology or expensive equipment, and our technologically savvy clients want to see how they can use their own mobile devices to improve their hearing quality of life. In this program, we’ll discuss the pros and cons of audiology apps for both audiologists and clients. We’ll also discuss some of the built-in tablet hardware and software, and creative uses of certain apps that may streamline the way in you interact with instruments and clients.

Learning Outcomes
You will be able to:

• list at least four professional uses of tablets and other mobile devices
• use a patient-focused intervention or consumer-related app that uses a tablet or other mobile device
• identify potential pitfalls of tablets and other mobile devices
