Candidate for Vice President for Audiology Practice: Kevin Kock, CCC-A

Dr. Kevin Kock, AuD, MPH, CCC-A, is an audiologist with expertise in hearing loss prevention, amplification, leadership strategy, and the integration of public health within audiology. As an early-career professional, Dr. Kock possesses a rich leadership background and a steadfast commitment to advancing the profession of audiology.

Dr. Kock holds a dual bachelor of science in communication disorders and psychology from the University of Houston and earned his doctor of audiology (AuD) and master of public health (MPH) from the University of Iowa. His passion for patient care spans across all age groups, with a particular focus on advocating for hearing conservation, patient equity, billing reimbursement, and public health outcomes within audiology. He currently practices at Quad Cities Audiology Consultants in Iowa and Illinois, where he serves patients, works with audiology technicians, and precepts students. 

Dr. Kock's leadership roles have been diverse and impactful. During his graduate studies, Dr. Kock’s national leadership was ignited by serving as vice president for finance on the Executive Council of National NSSLHA, where he focused on supporting students within the profession.

As an audiologist, Dr. Kock has served as chair and board member of the Iowa Speech Pathology and Audiology Licensure Board. He also served as president-elect and treasurer for the Iowa Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ISHA) as well as chair of ISHA’s Advocacy Committee. Additionally, he has contributed as an Early-Career Professional (ECP) member to the ASHA Committee on Leadership Cultivation and the ASHA Ad Hoc Committee on Leadership Strategy.

Dr. Kock’s advocacy efforts extend beyond leadership roles—he frequently presents on supporting LGBTQ+ patients and providers, enhancing patient–provider concordance through diversity initiatives, and integrating public health principles into community outreach, advocacy, and audiology practice.
