Audiology Mentor Program (AMP)

Purpose

The Audiology Mentor Program (AMP) is a virtual mentoring program where mentees and mentors work together to address the mentees’ career goals via the AMP mentoring platform. With the 2025–2026 cycle, the program is open to audiology professionals to become mentees (formerly only students). Doctor of Audiology (AuD) students and audiology professionals are paired with practicing clinical and educational audiologists who provide guidance, feedback, and support. Eligibility

An AMP student mentee is

a student currently enrolled full time in an AuD program,
a NSSLHA or SAA member (preferred but not required), and
a student not enrolled in another ASHA mentor program (we request enrolling in one ASHA mentoring program at a time).

An AMP professional mentee is

an audiology professional with an AuD degree,
ASHA Certified (preferred but not required), and
an audiologist not enrolled in another ASHA mentor program (we request enrolling in one ASHA mentoring program at a time).

An AMP-S mentor is

a practicing clinical or educational audiologist and
ASHA Certified (holds a CCC-A or CCC-SLP/A).

Format

The AMP program is an online mentoring program that starts as soon as a mentee connects with a mentor in the mentoring system and lasts throughout the academic year. The AMP online mentoring platform enables

matching of mentees and mentors based on shared mentoring and clinical interests,
custom development of a Mentoring Connection Plan, and
tiers of mentoring to fit your needs.

Program Timeline 2025–2026

Enrollment Opens:
- For Mentors: October 9, 2025
- For Mentees: October 23, 2025
Enrollment Closes: November 28, 2025

How to Enroll

To enroll as an AMP mentor:

Sign into the online system using your ASHA login email and password. If you do not have an ASHA login email and password, you must create an account first.
Answer all the questions to create your Mentor Profile.
Once complete, your Mentor Profile will be visible to mentees, who will then send requests to connect. Mentors may choose to mentor up to two mentees.
Enrollment is complete when you have accepted at least one request for mentoring.

To enroll as an AMP mentee:

Sign into the online system using your ASHA login email and password. If you do not have an ASHA login email and password, you must create an account first.
Answer all the questions to create your Mentee Profile.
After creating your Mentee Profile, select “Mentors” in the left-hand panel, and view the various Mentor Profiles to find the right match for you.
Send a mentoring request to up to three mentors who you believe to be a strong match with you based on shared areas of interest. To do this, select “Connect” and “Request Mentoring Connection” for each mentor of interest.
Enrollment is complete once a mentor accepts your request.
